Top 5 Forwards to watch out for in the upcoming FPL Season!

Harry Kane
This 23 year old Spurs striker did not have a great start to the 2016/17 season due to injuries and poor start but eventually finished as the golden boot winner with 29 goals in just 30 appearances. In terms of FPL, he scored 224 points which was third highest score behind Alli and Sanchez respectively. The key to his form are the playmakers Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli. Harry Kane also managed to get 7 assists, hit the woodwork thrice and created 7 big chances last season. He is dominating in the air and managed to score 10 goals last season with his head. He is priced at £12.5 this season and after being crowned as the Golden Boot winner twice in the Premier League in the past two seasons, he may prove his worth again and score a lot of points.

Romelu Lukaku
Romelu Lukaku joined Manchester United earlier this month for a fee of £75m + add-ons from Everton. Before joining Man Utd, Lukaku scored a total of 85 goals in 141 appearances for Everton. Last season Lukaku scored 221 points which included 25 goals and 6 assists. He also hit the woodwork thrice and created 8 big chances. He finished as the second highest goal scorer in the Premier League last season only behind Harry Kane who scored 29 goals. He is priced at £11.5 this season and is expected to play much better this season under Jose Mourinho. He is also expected to score more because of the playmakers such as Paul Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the squad.

Alexandre Lacazette
Alexandre Lacazette is a huge FPL prospect for the upcoming season. During his tenure at Olympique Lyonnais’s first team (2010-2017), he managed to score 129 goals in 275 matches in all competitions. Features of his game include goalscoring, dribbling and pace. He managed to score 38 goals in 42 appearances last season in all competitions This French forward joined Arsenal in July, 2017 for a club record fee of £46.5m + add-ons. Priced at £10.5m this season, he may even surpass his teammate Alexis Sanchez due to his all round talent and there is also a probability that he may take penalties for Arsenal this season. He may be the striker that Arsenal wanted from past few seasons and he may be the last piece of the puzzle to complete the Arsenal attack.

Gabriel Jesus
This young Brazilian signed for Manchester City in January 2017 and has made only 10 appearances since then but created a huge impact in them by scoring 7 goals and making 4 assists. In only his fourth game Jesus broke a metatarsal in his right foot and was expected to be out for the remainder of the 2016/2017 Premier League season. However, he returned in April for the Manchester Derby. Priced at £10.5m, he has huge potential in terms of FPL and is expected to score a lot more points this season.

Alvaro Morata
Up next we have Alvaro Morata. The 24 year old made a switch from Real Madrid to Chelsea last week. Last season at Real Madrid he scored 20 goals in 43 appearances. He is priced at £10m this season in the FPL. He is really good in the air and was known at his previous clubs for his clinical finishing ability, quick feet and excellent movement. A versatile and well-rounded forward, Morata is capable of playing as a main striker or linking up play between the lines, and can even play out wide on the wing. He is also an accurate penalty taker. Thus he can prove an exciting FPL prospect and is one such striker to watch out for this season.


Top 5 Midfielders to watch out for in the upcoming FPL Season


Alexis Sanchez
The 28 year old attacker from Chile priced at £12.0m is definitely a midfielder to watch out for this season. He has been a great FPL asset for the past three seasons since he joined Arsenal from Barcelona. Last season he scored the highest number of points(264) which included 24 goals(2 from penalties and 2 from free kicks) and 10 assists. He hit the woodwork 5 times and missed 8 big chances last season. We are very confident that this season too he will finish amongst the top 5 scoring midfielders and won’t disappoint his owners.


Kevin De Bruyne
Up next we have the Man City midfielder priced at £10m. He scored 199 points last season which included 6 goals and 18 assists. His 18 assists were more than any other player in the Premier League last season. He created 24 big chances last season. He also hit the woodwork 9 times and missed 3 big chances. We are confident that he will finish amongst the top 5 midfielders this season.


Dele Alli
This 21 year old English midfielder playing for Spurs is an exciting FPL prospect. He scored a total of 225 points last season which was the second highest total score in FPL only behind Alexis Sanchez. He scored 18 goals last season and made 7 assists. He created 5 big chances, hit the woodwork 5 times and missed 11 big chances. He is priced at £9.5m this season.This young lad is still far off from reaching his peak form and and will surely improve a lot in the upcoming seasons and definitely a player to watch out for this FPL season with a playmaker like Eriksen in the side.


Sadio Mane
The Senegal national had a great 2016/2017 season in terms of FPL. Although missed a major part of last season due to the African Cup of Nations and a serious injury that ended his season a month earlier but still managed to score 156 points which included 13 goals and 5 assists. Now with addition of Mohamed Salah in the Liverpool squad there is a definite chance that Mane will achieve much more this season and should make his owners very happy and that is why he’s one to watch out for this season.


Paul Pogba
Last year, the French national made a world record transfer from Juventus to his former side, Manchester United. He scored 115 points last season with 5 goals and 4 assists. He hit the woodwork 6 times, missed 5 big chances and created 7 big chances last season. He managed to perform so well even after playing deep in the midfield last season. This season he is priced at £8m and the arrival of his old friend, Romelu Lukaku at Manchester United might promote him to play as an attacking midfielder and he should be able to create many more chances and score many points.

Marcos Alonso
This 26 year old spainsh left back made a move to Chelsea last summer from Florentina. He had previously played in the premier league for Sunderland and Bolton and was not able to create an impact but made a comeback when Conte started using 3-4-3 formation and started playing Alonso as a Left wing back which benifited his FPL owners a lot. His price rose from £6m to £6.9m. He scored 177 points last season which included 6 goals, 5 assists and played a vital part in helping Chelsea clinch 15 clean sheets and eventually the Premier League Title. This season he is priced at £7m and we feel his influence in the attack will help his owners score a lot of points and we feel that he will prove his worth again.

James Milner
The Liverpool number 7 played as left back but was listed in FPL as a midfielder. This season he has been reclassified as a defender and is priced at £6.5m. Last season he was the penalty taker for Liverpool and scored all his 7 goals from the spot. He was also able to get 4 assists because of which he scored 139 points last season but missed out on the 12 clean sheets that Liverpool managed last season. But the reclassification will benefit his owners a lot and we feel he is definitely a defender worth watching out for this FPL season.

Leighton Baines
The Everton Left Back has been a great FPL asset for the past many seasons because of his involvement in the attack and not to forget that he also takes set pieces for Everton. Last season he scored a total of 135 points, 2 goals, 5 assists and 11 clean sheets. He was the goto man after Shemaus Coleman suffered a horrific injury. We feel that this season too he is going score a lot of points and we feel that he may finish in the top 5.

Gareth McAuley
Up next we have the West Brom defender priced at £5m this season. He scored a total of 131 points last season with 6 goals, an assist and 7 clean sheets. Out of the 6 goals that he scored 4 goals were scored with a header. He is really beneficial during set pieces due to his height and has a really high chance of creating chances when the ball is in the air. We feel that he is one to watch out for this season.

Toby Alderweireld
This Belgium defender is a vital part in the Spurs defence. Last season he scored 120 points with a goal and 14 clean sheets in a season in which he sidelined due to injury for a while.He is priced at £6m this season and hopefully should score more goals this season. He is very similar to McAuley and has a high chance creation when the ball is in the air. With a chance of Dany Rose and Kyle Walker leaving the club this summer, he is the player to go for in the Spurs defence.

De Gea
The Spanish national priced at £5.5m is a must to watch out for this FPL season. He finished fourth in the last season in top scoring goalkeepers with 136 points,14 clean sheets and 74 saves. We feel Man Utd will go for the title this year and after the signing of Victor Lindelöf, the Man Utd defence looks quite solid and they are ought to get more clean sheets and concede lesser goals.

Tom Heaton
Up next we have Tom Heaton priced at £5.0m. He has been a great asset for FPL managers in the last season . He finished at top last season with 149 points,10 clean sheets and 142 saves. We feel he is a must have at this price because he is surely going to deliver. The only problem in the Burnley defence is the absence of Micheal Keane who played a huge part in Burnley’s clean sheets last season but we feel Heaton will perform well this season too.

Jordan Pickford
The 23 year old Everton goalkeeper priced at £5.0m finished last season with 102 points, 4 clean sheets and 135 saves while playing for the relegated side, Sunderland. He has been a really promising player since the last season has been improving a lot since then. With his arrival at Everton we feel with the help of the great Everton defence including names like Keane, Williams, Jagielka, etc he will do great and hopefully finish in the top 5.

Hugo Lloris
Up next we have the Spurs goalkeeper priced at £5.5m. He finished last season at 2nd position only 6 points behind Tom Heaton. He scored 143 points, got 15 clean sheets and made 78 saves. The spurs backline played a vital role in Lloris finishing second. With names such as Vertonghen, Alderweireld, Rose, etc in the spurs defence we feel he might again score a lot of points and may finish in the top 5.

Jack Butland
Next we have the 24 year old Stoke City goalkeeper priced at £5.0m. He is a really promising young player and has proved his worth in the 2015/2016 season with 132 points, 10 clean sheets, 102 saves and an assist but missed the last season due to a horrendous injury filled year. He is back now and raring to go and we are confident that he is gonna make his owners happy and will make a place for himself in many FPL teams.
